I love the idea of taking famous women in pieces of art and thinking about what they might have been like behind the scenes. This one is the second in the series along with “Mona Lisa Frown.” I may continue this over the course of 2021. In the original Vermeer, I always loved the woman’s self assurance in her pose but always wanted to see her being more active in the space too.
